Hope Cottage Museum is run by a team of volunteers. A dedicated group of people give of their time in various ways to maintain this fine museum. There is a group that cleans and maintains the indoor exhibits, and another group that cares for the outdoor and machinery exhibits. An elected committee handle the administrative functions of the museum.

The committee publish their own promotional material with the emphasis on increasing the visiting and local people's awareness of the museum.

The Museum is closed on Christmas Day, Good Friday, and the whole of August.

Opening times are : January 10AM - 4PM, and all other times 1PM - 4PM

There are various ways of helping the Museum.

Donate your time. Volunteers are always welcome.

We are not in a position to spend money on advertising, so we need to spread the message in as many ways as possible. Please come and visit the Museum and tell your friends, or give us a review on social media or TripAdvisor.

All donations to the Museum are tax-deductible.

Donations of historical artefacts need to be approved by the committee. We are happy to talk to you about these but we are limited in space and resources.
